Sad day, but the actors have earned their walk into the sunset. They broke a few barriers and overall told a fun and generally compelling story. I just hope the writing is done well and it doesn't come across as rushed or forced. Reading the spoilers makes it clear there will be some amount of build-up but you never really know.
Maybe they'll make one-off cameos for special events, or maybe they'll return to the show for a longer arc several years down the road (my understanding is several "major" characters have left and returned to the show a few times).
Either way, best wishes to these guys - will definitely try to catch (and try to understand) whatever shows or movies either land in next.

They might be back for a short visit for Denise and Joshua's wedding.

I'd be so happy if something like this happened. Are we sure it was Flo's decision and not the decision of the writers, possibly not knowing what to do next with them? Also is the general reception of them in Germany still positive?

Oh, I see. It feels like people do adore them since they are getting storylines and, after all, wedding. What a shame, hopefully they will come back somehow.

Max wrote on his insta goodbye post "Aber bis dahin gibt es noch eine Menge zu sehen. Außerdem: „Einen Ehrlinger wird man nicht so schnell los!“" which means: "But until then there is still a lot to see. Also: "You will not get rid of an Ehrlinger that fast!"". Is he hinting at possibly being a guest here and there in the future?

Thank God they changed their minds...can you imagine the backlash if they had killed Tobias off??
They made the right decision.

well, bringing a gay love interest to spice things up and then killing him off while praising #loveislove would definitely not be a good look

Florian gave an interview talking about his exit. Important parts Google translation InterviewBased on this interview, somehow I get the impression that it was the writer(s)' decision to end this storyline. Even though Florian said that he's happy to be with his family again, but I don't think it was the main reason.
I don't follow the whole episodes of Sturm der Liebe, but usual soap opera's writings are predictable. I think the writer(s) don't have enough materials to continue with the storyline, especially after the writer(s) decided to change the story and not kill Tobias. If they kill Tobias, I don't think Boris will also be off from screen, they would continue with another storyline for him, however, due to the change, it seems that they couldn't find a source of problem for them, especially when they are married and Christoph finally accepts their relationship.
But this is only my opinion.

Is it a bad sign that there's no mention of Boris and Tobias in their last two episodes...
